The pace is unhurried, the atmosphere friendly and low-key, as if you’ve wandered into a treasured neighborhood spot where care for food and tradition quietly meets genuine hospitality.
Beyond being a restaurant, the space doubles as a modest market filled with thoughtful Turkish provisions, hinting at a culture of sharing and savoring at home as well as here. Watching the kitchen—open and accessible—there's an authentic rhythm to the preparation, a confidence in handmade dishes crafted with attention that feels both timeless and personal. The interplay of warm, tender meats and vibrant vegetarian flavors mirrors the balanced Mediterranean heritage the menu embraces so naturally.
Meals at Turkish Market & Deli unfold as a gentle exploration of the familiar and the new: imagine savoring rich, smoky eggplant dips and hand-rolled grape leaves alongside fluffy pita bread and aromatic teas, all meant to be shared as much as they satisfy. Each bite encourages slowing down, inviting guests to experience the nuance of textures and tastes that resonate with the family-style spirit of Turkish dining.
The small space and subtle decor complement this experience, setting a calm stage where conversations flow easily, and the welcoming team enhances that sense of connection without fuss. I was in Knoxville for business and decided to stop here for Turkish food. We ordered two döner wraps and absolutely loved them, as Turks, we were impressed by how authentic they tasted. Great portions, friendly service, and genuinely delicious food. Highly recommend!

Best Turkish food in Knoxville and probably even in all of Tennessee! Everything is so fresh, satisfying and flavorful. The Babaghannouj is unlike any other, lightly smoky fresh and vibrant. All the little sides really go well with all the food leaving you nice and fulfilled after eating it together. We will be back for sure, and if you are interested then do yourself a favor and stop in! Oh and PS the Baklava and other desserts are wonderful too!

Best Turkish food in Tennessee! Everything is handmade, and you can watch them. The small restaurant is decorated so beautiful. The food is seasoned perfectly, and all of the meat is tender. We will definitely be going back.

Absolute gem. This is some of the best donar kebab I’ve ever had. The owners were so kind and let us try samples of their vegetarian appetizers. All were absolutely delicious. We got the doner wrap and the donor salad, with a side of tomato sauce that I wanted to try. The meat was well seasoned and so juicy without being fatty. Their bite-sized baklava is delicious as well. We stumbled across this gem on a road trip and will be back!

Quaint little strip mall shop with a small grocery in the back. The employees are genuinely friendly and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming with little to no patron noise. If you’re looking for a genuine sample of cuisine from overseas then this should be your first stop. The servings are more than abundant and will have you feeling “stuffed” when you leave. Speaking of stuff, they do have Sarma (rice stuffed grape leaves) if you wanna be adventurous, or are looking to reminisce. You don’t wanna miss those.

This family owned shop has to be one of Knoxville's best kept secrets! The food is authentic and it transports you right to Turkey! The only thing more delightful than the food is the lovely family and staff who treat you like guests in their home. I would drive the 2 hours to Knoxville just to eat here again!

This is hands-down my favorite local Turkish restaurant! The gyros are absolutely delicious—always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. But what truly makes this place special are the owners. They’re kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture through food. It breaks my heart to see negative comments that don’t reflect the heart and effort they put into every dish and every customer experience. As someone who supports small, hardworking local businesses, I just want to say: you're doing an amazing job. Thank you for consistently delivering great food and warm hospitality. You’ve got loyal fans right here in Knoxville! ????????
